Tharpaling Thongdrol festival is held annually at Tharpaling Monastery in Bumthang. Tharpaling festival is mainly a display of the giant thongdrol (appliqué silk work with Buddhist images), preceded by prayers and ceremonies. It is a very popular festival in Bumthang.
